{"id":478,"date":"2010-10-03T11:52:22","date_gmt":"2010-10-03T19:52:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mlwms.com\/blog\/?p=478"},"modified":"2010-10-03T11:56:39","modified_gmt":"2010-10-03T19:56:39","slug":"august-25th-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mlwms.com\/blog\/2010\/10\/august-25th-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"August 25th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today I was supposed to have a chorionic villus sampling, or CVS. \u00a0It&#8217;s a somewhat invasive prenatal test that determines whether or not the fetus has various genetic abnormalities, such as Down Syndrome and a host of other disorders.<\/p>\n<p>It got postponed because my placenta isn&#8217;t quite thick enough. \u00a0So we are doing it next week.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m terrified, a bit, of the procedure, and how it will affect my baby.<\/p>\n<p>On the flip side, I&#8217;m wondering if having this baby will mean the end of all things fun. \u00a0Jon says it will just redefine fun, and I&#8217;m sure he&#8217;s right&#8230; but I can&#8217;t help wonder.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m showing like crazy. \u00a0It&#8217;s absurd to be hiding this at work, and now, I&#8217;ve got 2-3 more weeks of hiding an ever-growing bump.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I was supposed to have a chorionic villus sampling, or CVS. \u00a0It&#8217;s a somewhat invasive prenatal test that determines whether or not the fetus has various genetic abnormalities, such as Down Syndrome and a host of other disorders.
