quick update

Yes, yes, I’m still waiting. All of us are on hold again. They had started to deploy when Rita et al came to town, and now, of course, they have to wait, since they don’t want to deploy folks to states where other folks are being evacuated. But now there will most likely be even more damage, more people displaced. When it’s time, I’ll be ready.

In the meantime, I’m having a hell of a time staying focused and caring deeply about my job. I feel all discombobulated. And I wait.
